The Master Planner is responsible for all manufacturing planning related activities as well as supply chain reporting and analysis as needed. This individual has a macro vision of all manufacturing planning within the business. Analyzes and submits for final approval to the Purchasing and Planning Manager the plan proposed for the monthly build schedule and monitors business inputs and determines changes as necessary. Prepares annual forecast and tracks changes to stakeholders (Planning, Sales, Customers, Operations, Procurement, Quality, Stockroom, and Shipping) to ensure accuracy of the schedule deployment and customer requirements. This position is the lead for planning activities for the Elevate Healthcare, Sarasota Operations and Supply Chain functions. These activities include, but are not limited to, production and load planning, master scheduling, and forecast development in support of customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory.

This is an on-site position, based in United States, reporting to the Purchasing and Planning Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain Deltek Inputs for accuracy
    • Shop Floor Calendar
    • Bill of Materials
    • Master Production Schedule
    • Safety Stock Levels
    • Act as a Deltek super-user in an advanced level capacity and provide training to other employees in order to use the system.
  • Develop Models of typical production schedules using historical data and knowledge of product
  • Evaluate SIOP, Customer Service demand and sales opportunities
  • Review historical data and knowledge of product
  • Analyze safety stock levels
  • Prepare the proposed production schedule using Deltek, Salesforce, Excel and analytical skills
  • Deliberate on the proposed Master Plan to ensure capacities of constraints are met
    • Present production schedule to Supply Chain and Production
    • Identify constraints and possible solutions
    • Perform group presentation and negotiate solutions
  • Monitor production progress to ensure viability of plan for the business unit
    • Monitor and identify areas of deficiency
    • Negotiate recovery plan
    • Consult with Production Group Leaders to determine rescheduling of entire plan or parts of it.
  • Adapt to an ongoing dynamic production schedule based on inputs
    • Organize teamwork between departments to reach goal
    • Negotiate Schedule Milestones with the Business Unit at the initial phase or when delays or scope occur
    • Provide problem solving leadership
  • Evaluate Engineering Change Notice impact on production plan
    • Review data and advise of delays
    • Input on implementation dates
  • Provide guidance to more junior planners
    • Present Production schedule to planners for execution
    • Advise when changes to schedule require implementation
    • Act as the “Go to person” for the production planning process
    • Provide training as necessary
  • Participate in Daily Production Meetings, Monthly SIOP Meeting and Weekly Revenue Calls.
    • Review daily update on status of units and prioritize units
    • Advise stakeholders of delays as necessary
    • Lead review of BOBL and STF at weekly meeting
    • Review data from meetings and make changes to forecast as necessary
    • Update Master Production Schedule in Deltek
    • Advise Planners and Buying Team of data changes
  • Provide EOM Leadership for Shop Floor, Stockroom, and Shipping
    • Prioritize and Organize Month End Activities
    • Leadership and Negotiation skills
  • Report out on all supply chain related KPIs including supplier performance
  • Develop and maintain management tools/metrics to monitor and report progress


REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS degree, Business or Operations and 10 – 15 years’ experience in production planning or 15 - 20 years of combined studies and experience in production planning.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Communicate the voice of the Customer
  • Organized and detail oriented individual
  • Experience in managing and prioritizing multiple responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and cross functional environment
  • Highly autonomous, is able to provide guidance and direction to the planning and production team
  • Excellent at problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy is essential
  • Must be proficient in ERP (preferably Deltek), CRM and Excel


PREFERRED:

  • APICS certification CPIM or CSCP
  • Experience with Power BI and Salesforce
