Job description
We are looking for professionals Occupational Therapy Assistants to provide therapy to patients/clients of all age groups under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
Responsibilities
- Provides services that are ordered by the physicians as indicated in the plan of care, as developed, delegated and supervised by the OT. Completes appropriate documentation in a timely manner
- Facilitates patient's/client's ROM, strength, coordination, use of adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications, functional mobility, and safety issues as related to patient's/client's ADL performance under the supervision of the OT
- Applies concepts of infection control and standard precautions in coordinating and performing patient/client care activities to prevent contamination and transmission of disease
- Accepts clinical assignments that are consisted with education and competence to care for patients/clients
- Uses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills to provide patient/client and caregiver education
- Promotes compliance with all fiscal intermediary and/or other third party payors, through education, coaching and other assistance as necessary
- Demonstrates commitment, professional growth and competency
- Participates in the agency's QAPI program
- Meets mandatory continuing education requirements; participates in Agency-sponsored in-service training
