What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Sporting Goods Specialist position at Elevate Sporting?
As a smaller family owned sporting goods retailer we are focused on giving exceptional customer service to all customers and potential customers. We pride ourselves in creating a great local shopping atmosphere in store and highly value building long term professional relationships in all facets of our business.
RESPONSIBILITIES would include but not be limited to:
- Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable on all products offered, and teaming up with co-workers to provide an excellent sales & service experience
- Fitting customers with equipment and proper sporting goods
- Being personally accountable for operational procedures and expectations
- Maintaining personal and shop productivity goals on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Builds professional relationships with every customer and potential customer by asking open-ended questions that will help assess their needs.
- Ability to learn, maintain and share expertise of products, industry and trends.
- Contributes to a positive, productive and passionate work environment every shift.
- Needs to be able to work evenings and weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 0-3 years of retail experience
- Enthusiastic and passionate about sports and sporting goods.
- Able to unconditionally deliver exceptional customer service.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Disciplined and focused on results and operational excellence
- Must be proactive and Initiate completion of tasks or activities without necessary supervision
- Flexible availability – including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer skills necessary.
