Job Summary: The Quality Engineering Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the superior quality of aerospace components and products for our aerospace client. This position involves conducting meticulous inspections, evaluating product quality, updating quality process documentation, and providing crucial operational support. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, interpret complex technical drawings and procedures, and collaborate closely with the Quality department to uphold stringent quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret aerospace drawings, procedures, and process documents to support Operations in their manufacturing procedures.
Collaborate with the Quality department on development and evaluation activities specific to aerospace components and systems.
Develop product control plans, inspection procedures, and detailed measurement reports adhering to aerospace industry standards.
Assist in executing process validation programs to ensure compliance with stringent aerospace regulations and requirements.
Serve as a valuable resource for operations, providing expertise on aerospace drawing and process requirements.
Conduct thorough analysis and troubleshooting to identify root causes of product and equipment failures, ensuring aerospace safety and reliability.
Select and procure specialized inspection tooling and equipment using aerospace-specific procurement processes.
Contribute to process qualification efforts and perform other assigned aerospace-related responsibilities.
Demonstrate independent judgment and discretion in handling aerospace quality matters of significance.
Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, including flexibility for potential night shifts, weekends, and additional hours as necessary to support aerospace production schedules.
Job Specifications:
Education: Combination of relevant education and work experience or a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Certifications: [Specify any relevant aerospace certifications, such as AS9100.]
Years Experience: 0 - 3 years of relevant experience in aerospace manufacturing or quality assurance.
Skills:
Proficiency in applying aerospace-specific systematic discipline and analytical approach to problem-solving.
In-depth knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, including raw material processing and assembly techniques.
Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and regulations, such as AS9100 and FAA regulations.
Proficient in email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other aerospace-specific software tools.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate within an aerospace engineering environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in aerospace documentation.
