THE ROLE
Peer Mentors will be expected to work at multiple Elementary School locations in Fontana. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm, and Wednesday 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm at a pay rate of $19 an hour. It is the responsibility of a Peer Mentor to foster an upbeat, positive culture within your team. This is a in person position.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Liaison effectively with school staff/faculty AND other vendors on site
- Engage students in SEL & PE curriculum
- Displays passion and optimism; inspires respect and trust
- Be willing to demonstrate, engage, and participate in games with students
- Act as a positive and inspiring role model
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service for all students and school staff
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- 48 completed college credits required
- 1-2 years of working experience in education, coaching or child development strongly preferred
- 18 years and older
- Reliable transportation
- Submitting fingerprint based background check
- Covid-19 Vaccine (2 weeks from 2nd dose) or Weekly Covid-19 Testing
- Authorized to work in the US
