Position Brand Description:
The Facilities Coordinator in the RTP is responsible for maintaining the site’s facility infrastructure, including buildings. The Facilities Coordinator is also responsible for the efficient and effective management of local capital and oversight of engineering, maintenance, laboratory and facility contract resources.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate with all levels of personnel on projects as well as maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure safety for all personnel (including contract employees) involved with projects in areas of responsibility including (but not limited to) Safe to Work Permits, Hot Work Permits, Confined Space Permits, etc.
- Oversee projects and external workforce to ensure all Lilly specifications, standards, and procedures are being met.
- Represent the Lilly customer(s) to ensure projects and jobs are delivered to meet customer needs.
- Understand the facility requirements for production and administrative support.
- Review and process contractor invoices and work orders.
- Oversee and coordinate any required safety practices and training for outside contractors.
- Authorize contractor work plans and schedules to meet business needs.
- Identify opportunities to improve the RTP facility.
- Work with the key customers and leadership to recommend improvements.
- Provide contractor and vendor coordination.
- Plan and execute small projects, including making necessary purchases.
- Ability to own and execute change controls in Trackwise.
Basic Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to work safely in a participative environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and communications skills with a customer service attitude.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely and accountable for supporting all HSE Corporate and Site Goals.
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.
- Completion of Post Offer Exam or Completion of Work Simulation if applicable
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Associates Degree in Engineering or Technical Field preferred
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Knowledge of Parenteral, Device Assembly and/or Packaging site operations and facilities.
- Experience with Maximo or similar computerized maintenance management system.
Additional Information:
- Standard business hours (days, M-F) with after-hour support and shutdown support as needed.
- Minimal travel required
