Our government client is looking for a PostgreSQL Tools Specialist to join their team.
Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. We offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Pay Rate: $80.00 - $86.00/hr on W2
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be taken into account when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting is a reflection of a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided pay range.
W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
Responsibilities of the PostgresSQL Tools Specialist:
- Champion the use of tools with PostgreSQL Community Edition
- Attend all customer technical discussions/design/development meetings
- Provide technical inputs to further enhance the code quality/process
- Provide guidance/support/training to other junior/mid-level staff
- Develop new solutions, processes, standards, or operational plans that position the client competitively in the marketplace
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 10 years of experience with Web component development
- Senior level knowledge of EDB tools EFM, EPM and Migration Portal
- Senior level knowledge of pgBackRest, pgBouncer, and pgPool
- Strong experience installing and documenting PG tools
- Strong experience PostgreSQL Community Edition
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL on Linux
- Experience with GIT/BitBucket, Jira, and Confluence or similar tools
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of database techniques and best practices
- Excellent communication and written skills
