WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The Lab Case Coordinator coordinates the day-to-day functions of the Lab Case Workflow. The Lab Case Coordinator also ensures patient flow and efficiency goals of the providers’ schedules are met daily.
Additionally, the LCC is required to be a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and provide quality care and services to patients by assisting dentists and other staff in a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties. Affect the efficiency and productivity of patient flow through timely, accurate and professional preparation of patients and patient information, including taking and processing x-rays.

Requirements
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The successful candidate will be willing and able to:
- Accepts cases, ensuring quality control and accuracy
- Ensure all patient records and related documents are managed and maintained timely, accurately, and consistent with all HIPAA and standards and best practices
- Place incoming cases in an area for providers to inspect and store them in a lab pan in a designated area while waiting for the appointment date
- Manages invoices and lab slips
- Maintain lab case log
- Establish favorable working relationships with all staff members associated with clinic operations, including dental receptionist, dental hygienists, dentists and related staff
- Communicates with back office of any lab case changes
- Communicates with schedulers if any appointments changes need to be made due to lab case status changes
- Ensure patient has an appointment scheduled
- Label lab case with next scheduled appointment date
- Coordinate lab case pick up with the lab
- Ensures all scanned cases were accepted
- Maintains a clean and organized lab room area
- Restock dental lab room
- Ensure all tasks provided and associated with patient care, patient administrative processes, and related duties comply with all regulatory and accreditation standards, as well as clinic policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
The successful candidate has:
- 2 years of RDA experience preferred
- Must have a current / valid RDA license
- California dental practice act / infection control completed
- Dental Board of California Radiation Safety Course
- Current BLS certified
Additional Requirements
- Must have a current and valid California driver’s license and the ability to provide proof of personal auto insurance on the vehicle driven during working hours.
- If selected for an employment opportunity with Elica Health Centers, external hires must provide proof of immunizations (Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella & Tetanus), tuberculosis clearance, and proof of COVID-19 vaccination status* prior to their scheduled start date. Physical Requirements and Work Environment
The work environment is characteristic of a dental clinic environment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle or feel. The employee is also required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must also possess hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. Compensation Dependent Upon Experience
$23.50 - $30.55
