About Us
We are a private investigative agency located on the north shore of Massachusetts. We currently do business nationally and are licensed in seven states (Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Florida, Vermont, Pennsylvania, and New Hampshire) and are looking to expand. We are currently seeking investigators in the Woburn, MA area. We provide insurance companies with attorneys, private businesses, third party administrators, self-insurers, governmental bodies, and private citizens with a variety of investigative services that include criminal, civil, domestic, insurance fraud, and background checks.
Job Responsibilities
The main duties of an investigator include Research, Interviewing, and Surveillance.- Perform undercover operations.- Conduct interviews.- Search computer databases for public records, telephone numbers, motor vehicle registration, and other miscellaneous resources needed for a particular case.- Perform case reviews to determine case objectives.- Write reports and case summaries to document investigations- Ability to meet strict deadlines.- Testify at hearings or court trials to present evidence when necessary.- Work a flexible schedule. - Maintain a professional appearance and attitude when representing the company in front of clients, court personnel and others in a work related interaction.- Give updates on suspect’s location to supervisor when necessary.
Job Requirements
A 4-year college degree in criminal justice or another similar field is preferred. At least one year of experience is preferred, but not mandatory. A private investigator must be flexible as cases can often require investigators to work odd hours, some weekends, and even holidays on occasion. Other requirements for the Private Investigator include: - Ability to type at a reasonable rate- General knowledge of computer and internet.- Writing skills- Attention to detail- Proofreading and grammar- Must have a suitable vehicle to conduct surveillances.- Required to have a cell phone, laptop, and a digital video camera to perform essential day-to-day operations.- Ability to travel within the state and/or region.
A windows based not (iOS) computer, ideally laptop.
Own a reliable vehicle, preferably a generic model, with basic colors.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
