Controller

Elite Equipment Rental is seeking a Controller in Utah. We are looking for someone with solid communication, technology, analytical, and management skills. Proficiency with GAAP is critical. The successful candidate will have at least seven years of relevant experience. A degree in accounting is required. Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is required. Public accounting experience is highly valued.

This individual will report to the CFO and provide the following functions:

• Overseeing the organization’s daily accounting functions
• Managing the accounting, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable departments
• Communicating regularly with the CFO
• Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
• Managing the budget and forecasting processes
• Analyzing financial data
• Developing and monitoring key performance indicators and financial performance metrics
• Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
• Working with executive team to guide the organization’s financial decisions
• Coordinating activities of external auditors
• Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
• Hiring, training and retaining accounting staff
