The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial recordkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data while providing support to the management team in making informed business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Process and record all financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and issue invoices to clients in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
- Process payroll, including calculating employee hours, deductions, and taxes.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all accounting regulations and procedures.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records both electronically and in hard copy.
- Collaborate with external accountants or auditors during financial audits or reviews.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper, preferably in the home service industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with relevant tax laws and regulations is a plus.
- Certification as a Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or similar credential is desirable.
