Job Posting for Physical Education Assistant Teacher at Elizabeth Ann Clune Montessori School of Ithaca
The Elizabeth Ann Clune Montessori School of Ithaca, a private, not-for-profit school serving students from 3-15 years old, seeks a creative, energetic, and collaborative educator who will assist teaching Physical Education for the 24-25 school year. This position can also involve teaching with our AfterSchool Program, making it a full time position.
Living in the vicinity of Ithaca, New York, is a must. Nestled in the hills surrounding Cayuga Lake, in the heart of the Finger Lakes and Wine Country, Ithaca is the home to Apple festivals, a fabulous Farmers Market, Cornell University, Ithaca College, and arts and cultural events that rival many large cities.
Responsibilities: Co-facilitate physical education classes for students aged 5 - 15, support recess times, engage with students, and encourage physical fitness. Must be available from 11 - 3:30, Monday through Friday. Hours can be expanded until 6 pm with our AfterSchool Program.
BIPOC and LGBTQ educators are strongly encouraged to apply. A bachelor’s degree is required. Teaching experience preferred. COVID vaccination is required. Salaries are commensurate with experience.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
