Government and Politics and Government. Course assignments are flexible and could include future U.S. History and World History and Mock Trial teaching opportunities.
Duties / ResponsibilitiesCreate a classroom culture of high achievement and student ownership of their learning that helps foster students' intellectual, social, and emotional development.Provide daily instruction, including clear learning outcomes, well-designed lessons, and high-quality assessments aligned with ESHS curriculum and standards.Effective technology skills, including the ability to use Seton's learning management systems (Blackbaud and Google Classroom).Serve as an advisor in the Student Advisory Program.Demonstrate ability to implement best practices in data-driven instruction, including inquiry and hands-on activities, demonstrations, lectures, and discussions. Communicate regularly with families to identify students' talents, interests, and needs and update parents regarding students' achievements and progress.Active commitment to enhancing a school community through involvement on committees and in student life activities.Collaborate with school-based staff and throughout the ESHS community in staff meetings, regular analysis sessions, and professional learning designed to enhance students' learning experience and increase student achievement.Required Skills/AbilitiesA desire to teach in a Catholic School committed to Catholic education and the formation of young women in Christian character. Ability to teach all levels of study, from College Preparatory courses to Advanced Placement.Exemplary character and demonstrated services to others.Evidence of strong communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrate ability to implement best practices in data-driven instruction, including inquiry and hands-on activities, demonstrations, lectures, and discussions.
