We are currently looking for a Purchasing Manager at our York, SC location.
We are seeking a Purchasing Manger experienced with developing, implementing, and managing purchasing strategies to meet company objectives.
DESCRIPTION
The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for operational purchasing strategies and tactical processes, including strategic and operational purchases for raw materials, sub-contracting, MRO, capital projects and services while supporting safety, business, financial, quality and compliance objectives. This is done under broad direction and through interactions with suppliers for negotiation of economics, quality, general terms and conditions, and supply assurance to continually optimize the overall value. The Purchasing Manager will conduct supplier visits and audits of critical suppliers, including ISO 13485 on-site Audits. This position supports both NA and Global SOIP processes through supplier analysis, commercial agreements, policy development and alignment with Global purchasing strategies. This role will support the entire NA operations and impacts major components of the Supply Chain from sourcing through final delivery of product.
The Purchasing Manager will motivate and lead direct reports and coworkers to work toward common corporate goals and objectives. In this role, we are looking for someone who has proven leadership experience working with all levels of the organization and will bring experience in purchasing operations excellence.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree business preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
- 7-10 years of strategic procurement experience in business operations with a working knowledge of procurement related sourcing processes and extensive category knowledge of raw materials, facility management, and MRO.
- Leadership skills through high impact project management and direct oversight of reports.
- Purchasing operations experience in an ISO 13485 and C-TPAT environment writing SOPs and conducting audits.
- Strong SAP background with knowledge of reporting functionalities.
- Proficient in Outlook, Excel, MS Office, Word and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Quality systems (ISO 13485/QS/TS), C-TPAT and Supplier Performance Programs
- Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail oriented, strong planning, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written.
- Travel domestic and international (up to 20%)
