Work for the Smart Safety Company
Summary: This position is responsible for all steps of the painting process for assembled parts. This includes removing grease and dirt, applying tape, mixing paint and applying paint through various methods. The position is also responsible for maintaining and cleaning painting equipment.
Essential Skills include the following:
Essential Skills.
- Understands how to read, comprehend, and follow blueprints and work orders
- Ability to perform Inventory transactions including scrap procedures and unplanned transactions forms
- Demonstrated ability to perform test procedures and complete necessary test forms and documentation for; Static tester, Press tester, Angle value tester, Monitor tester, Flow room, Fire pump operation
- Must have basic computer skills and be able to navigate AS400, (use look up screen, log on/off jobs), use EBPDM, and utilize other systems as necessary
- Capable of identifying all defects in the Machining and Foundry Lessons Learned books
- Competent in visual quality inspections and able to identify deviations from specifications or flaws
- Must be proficient in painting procedures including; Cleaning and preparation, Mixing and thinning paint, Mixing and thinning primer, Masking and taping
- Must demonstrate Extensive knowledge on the following operations and maintenance; Spray Gun, Pressure Pot, Ambient Air Pump, Paint Booth, Ultra-High-Pressure Pump
- Understand the Paint Booth safety procedures and PPE equipment
- Can accurately complete daily paint usage reporting
- Must demonstrate ability to complete assemblies to the established production rates.

Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or GED
- A trade school degree (preferred)
Physical Working Conditions:
- Job requires repetitively lifting average weight objects with repetitive bending and stooping.
- Frequently lifts heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)
- Job may require physical exertion such as long periods of standing.
- Job may require above average agility and dexterity.
