We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Instructor to join our team here at Elko En Pointe - Elko's NEWEST dance studio! As a Dance Instructor, you will have the opportunity to educate and inspire students of all ages in various dance styles.

If you have a background in early childhood education, performing arts, childhood development, years of dancing, or special education, this could be the perfect role for you. Join us and share your love for dance with our students!

Responsibilities:

- Plan and conduct dance classes for students of different age groups and skill levels

- Teach various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, tumbling, and more

- Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate technique, choreography, and musicality

- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their dance skills

- Organize and coordinate dance recitals, summer camps, and performances

- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students

- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to ensure a cohesive dance program

- Stay updated on current trends and developments in the dance industry

Skills:

- Strong background in dance with expertise in one or more styles (e.g., ballet, jazz, hip-hop)

- Familiarity with childhood development stages and appropriate teaching methods

- Experience working with diverse populations including preschoolers, children with special needs, and teens

- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members

- Ability to create a fun and engaging classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression

- Strong organizational skills to plan lessons, manage schedules, and coordinate events

- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for teaching dance

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
