POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for application implementation, all aspects of support, and continuous improvement of information systems. Provide advanced level support and supports and mentors other analysts as needed.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
â—¾Assist and back-up Application Analyst I with the following tasks when needed:
o Monitor application information and initiate tasks as needed
o Maintain documentation and procedures as applicable
o Maintain configuration / master files as needed to support daily operations
â—¾Assist with moderate level application changes and upgrades including, but not limited to workflow analysis, testing, configuration, and guidance to others as needed.
â—¾Provides consultative services and support of the system to users.
â—¾Develops and maintains working relationships to enhance ability to meet goals, including system improvements, and users’ objectives.
â—¾Assist with continuous improvement of information systems.
â—¾Designs and builds templates and tools that will be used as the foundation for entering information into the application/system. Ensures systems are configured to be consistent with vendor recommendations and uses to maximize the benefit to the patient and/or the staff using the system.
â—¾Communicate effectively with coworkers, users, vendors and leadership by actively listening, respectful correspondence and discussions and timely follow up
â—¾Must be able to demonstrate a more involved working knowledge of assigned applications, concepts and practices
â—¾Participate in on-call rotation, as required by Director
â—¾Follows best practice standards in support of information systems for which the employee has assigned responsibility, utilizing foundation tools where available.
â—¾Participates in mandatory ITS meetings and complies with ITS policies, procedures and guidelines.
â—¾Complies with explicit instructions of ITS leadership regarding the operation of technology systems under the employee’s responsibility.
â—¾All other duties and projects as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Education:
•Minimally Required: A High School diploma is required
•Preferred: A bachelor’s degree is preferred
Licensure/certification:
•Minimally Required: Vendor required certification in good standing (or proficiency if vendor accepts) for applications/modules employee is assigned to support. If not currently certified (or proficient) employee will have 6 months from their DOH (Date of Hire) or DOT (Date of Transfer) into a position that requires certification (proficiency).
Experience:
•Minimally Required: A minimum of 3 years of experience using computer based system(s) in a healthcare setting or in an analyst related role is required. Epic’s home health/hospice modules experience preferred.
Knowledge:
•Minimally Required: Basic working knowledge of computers & computerized systems
•Preferred: In a healthcare setting is preferred.
Skills:
•Minimally Required: Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills. Good problem solving skills.
Abilities:
•Minimally Required: Must be self-motivated and able to work under general supervision. Organizational focus, and result oriented. Knowledge of a variety of applications as they relate to operational flow in a healthcare setting. Highly collaborative team member. Participate in on-call rotation. General schedule Monday-Friday. Occasional requirements to cover special events/staff requirements during hours outside those generally worked maybe necessary. Ability to transport self to and from off-site locations. Periodic overnight travel for education.
