Position Summary
The Corporate Manager of Audit and Compliance supports the daily revenue reporting of food and beverage, gaming, and hotel audits in a consolidated environment for Ellis Island Casino and Village Pubs. Responsibilities may include completing daily audit deliverables, creating month-end revenue and tax journal entries, and completing statistics, account reconciliations, and tax returns. Manages a team of 3 Corporate Revenue Auditors. Communicate with other department heads and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
3 years of recent supervisor experience required.
3 years of recent audit compliance experience required.
3 years of recent gaming industry experience required.
1 year of recent food and beverage industry experience required.
Must have experience working with external contacts for audits.
Organized and detail-orientated with strong analytical skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines as required.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be a team player in a professional environment.
Ensure accurate reporting and demonstrate job ownership for all items completed.
Effectively handle routine tasks, while responding appropriately to additional requests and special projects as they are assigned.
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with management, guests, and both internal and external auditors.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English, and operate computers, printer, copier, 10 key-adding machines, and telephone.
This is an in-office position. Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays if required.
Preferred Skills
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Accounting experience in the Gaming industry and understanding of minimum internal Control Standards is preferred.
Sage Intacct, InfoGenesis, and SYNKROS/Konami gaming system experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to work at a computer terminal throughout the assigned shift and sit for long periods of time.
Must be able to bend, reach carry, stand and maneuver up and downstairs.
Must be able to carry up to 25lbs without assistance.
May be asked to travel locally to other business locations for work purposes.
May be exposed to noise and smoke when working at or visiting other business locations.
