Remodeling Construction Sales Consultant

Job Description:

ELM Construction LLC, a premiere design / build firm, is hiring a Project Developer. The preferred candidate will have experience in residential construction sales (with a focus on remodeling) and estimating. Construction experience is a must, as the Project Developer must be able to accurately and efficiently create estimates with detailed scopes of work for the remodeling work to be performed.

This is a commission based position (with a base salary) that requires the ability to quickly build rapport with new clients but patience while you work through the pre-construction and design process. The goal is for the client to be ecstatic with the end results of our process and for our company to make a fair profit.

Responsibilities Include:

• Follow up with clients (most leads provided by Company) to introduce yourself and confirm the appointment details.
• Meet with clients to talk about what they are wanting to accomplish. Based on your observations of the existing conditions and the clients goals, have an honest conversations about realistic timelines and budgets for the clients project.
• Coordinate with in-house designer to meet with you and the Owner to start the conceptual design process. During this phase, conceptual designs are created and the selection process for materials, fixtures, etc. begins.
• Begin reviewing initial designs and meeting with subcontractors and suppliers or other trade partners to develop the scope of work and estimate.
• Assemble for review the final conceptual designs, scope of work and estimate as part of the construction agreement with Owner.
• Collect job deposits and payments as needed.
• Represent Company at civic, professional or other networking / marketing opportunities.
• Continually study and be aware of construction and design trends. Confidence will sell deals!

Requirements:

• Proven construction experience a must. Intimate knowledge of remodeling procedure is required for all aspects of this position.
• Attention to detail is critical. Must be able to accurately describe the scope of work for a project and understand details of the construction process.
• Must be willing to work in a collaborative environment. We are all working towards a common goal!
• Must be MOTIVATED and target driven! Once beyond the training period, this is not a micromanaged position and you must be willing to work to produce results for the Company.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
