We have an excellent opportunity for a Integration and Test Engineer to join our team in Horsham, Pennsylvania. Our ideal candidate will be working as part of a team to perform Integration and Testing of Elma products and develop system integration procedures for customer specific projects, including document packages, test procedures and system routing.
Responsibilities
- Integrate systems as required, including the installation Operating systems, driver and patches, as necessary for a fully functioning system.
- Develop both new and existing applications, specifically coding, documentation, and test.
- Write new and modify existing Linux device drivers.
- Work with C language and Driver development kit.
- Aid in the troubleshooting of prototype and repeat products/systems.
- Test Integrated systems prior to shipment to verify proper operation.
- Assist in the development and management of system integration procedures and documentation.
- Support the development of concepts and proposals for new projects.
- Provide support to customers on system integration projects.
- Perform rework on electronic circuit boards as per instructions given by Design team.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Works on problems ranging from simple to moderate complexity by analyzing the requirements, data and through in-depth evaluation of various factors.
- Exercise judgment within broadly defined procedures and practices to determine the optimal solution.
- Test and troubleshoot issues with existing systems as well as new designs.
- Receive general instructions on new assignments, little or no instructions on routine work.
- Able to operate various Oscilloscopes and multi-meters.
- Able to read schematics and layout drawings.
- Knowledge of windows and Linux based software, including installation
- Familiar with Network Protocols: IPv4, TCP, UDP, DHCP, SNMP, TFTP, and IGMP.
- Experience with Data Generation tools: Spirent Smartbits or IPerf.
- Adequate testing and troubleshooting skills.
- Programming in “C” or Python.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or software engineering preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in system level testing and troubleshooting, basic Engineering experience with good all-around technical knowledge
