As an Carpenter we need :
Experience and Skill Requirements:
- Installation of Rough Carpentry and finishes including:
- Layout of in Foundations, Slab Edge, & Walls- Square
- Intimate knowledge of total station and builder's level is a plus.
- Erection of Wood and Metal Stud walls
- Decks
- Wood Blocking
- Setting Frames, Doors, & Windows
- Installation of Hardware
- Installing Wood Guard Rails for safety
- Minor Formwork for concrete installation
- Labor Work as Needed
- Clean Up & Breakdown
- Installation of Misc. Accessories
- Some minor demolition & Clean Up
- Housekeeping duties on construction projects
- Read Construction Plans and Specifications
- Super intense assistance
- Owner of a hard hat Yes, this is meant to be funny
- Understanding OSHA Compliant Construction Activities and enforcing compliant actions of workers and subcontractors
- Able to lift 60 lbs without assistance
Also:
- Education High School Diploma (or GED / High School Equivalence Certificate)
- Must have prior construction experience.
- The ability to understand information, ideas, direction and then be able to perform the task or project discussed. Also, to be able to ask questions to insure you understand the information given.
- Must have your own tools including: hammer, tap measure, carpenter square, pliers, tool bag.
- Must have great attitude
- Be willing to think (way) outside the box
- Communicate effectively, efficiently, positively with workers, subcontractors, co-workers, and Owners
- Be a self-starter and be a finisher
- Be a solutions finder
- Be able to work well with the team
- Be able to receive direction well
- Pay attention to detail
