Billet: Senior Level Logistics Analyst
Project: Professional Support Services Contract for SEA 21 in areas related to: Ship Readiness & Training; In Service Maintenance & Modernization and Inactive Ships
Work location: Norfolk, VA
Description:
The Contractor shall provide support for the Fleet Readiness Program Manager. Support may include:
- Facilitate & support Integrated Logistic Support Management Teams (ILSMTs), Logistics Product Reviews (LPRs) and Quarterly Program Reviews (QPRs)
- Liaise with and provide support to SEA 21 related to logistics matters
- Monitor & expedite the status of logistics and certification items
- Review ILS products, instructions, processes, providing recommendations to the Gov’t to improve efficiency and lower costs
- Access and extract information from Navy databases & management tools( i.e. CDMD_OA; PARTS, DMSMS, SMSMS)
- Review and make recommendations for changes to technical documentation for in-service ships to include SCDs
- Participate in ILS SCD Certification Reviews
- Review, analyze ships configuration/logistics support and metrics; recommend areas for improvement
- Analyze CASREPS for logistics related matters; conduct in-depth review for high failure items; recommend areas for improvement
- Provide strategic planning & develop policies/procedures/briefings for senior management and stakeholders
Required skills:
- Must have active DOD Secret security clearance and be able to maintain one
- 8 years minimum DoD related experience
- Highly motivated individual capable of working independently and/or in teams with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Ability collect, analyze and synthesize, information from several different sources
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
