Elysian Senior Homes of Chanhassen is a leading provider of diagnostic services to medical and dental offices and hospitals throughout Lake City, MN. Elysian Senior Homes of Chanhassen’s mission is to provide outstanding, cost-effective care in a comfortable, friendly environment. We are currently seeking a Full Time Operating Room Nurse for our Lake City, MN location. The RN will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of diagnostic tests and treatment services in accordance with established procedures and applicable standards of care. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an operating room or other clinical setting, be skilled and reliable, have excellent communication skills, and be willing to learn new skills. The Operating Room Nurse will also assist with patient care as needed.
Responsibilities:
·Assist the Physician with patient care as directed by Surgeon or Physician
·Assist in the preparation of patients for examination and treatment.
·Assist nursing staff in maintaining the operating room equipment and supplies orderliness during patient visits.
·Prepare materials for treatment procedures according to established standards of care.
·Perform pre-procedure education on patients diagnosed with disease processes, prevention, diagnosis and treatment procedures, as well as related topics.
·Prepare specimens for various diagnostic tests including blood cultures, urine samples, whole blood samples, biopsy samples, etc.
·Collecting specimens, preparing bandage rolls and other items for examination and treatment according to established standards of care.
·Communicate with nursing staff regarding patient condition and history during procedure time.
·Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
·Must have prior experience in an operating room or other clinical setting.
·Must have prior experience with electronic medical records systems such as EMR or EMR-CMS. Must be able to communicate well with patients and support staff through training. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of all medical information/data.
·Must possess excellent time management skills; ability to multitask and prioritize work/tasks in a fast-paced environment. Professional demeanor at all times while demonstrating compassion, respect, confidentiality, and quality patient care services.
·Must possess excellent organizational skills; ability to manage time efficiently while maintaining accurate records/files in various medical software programs such as EMR-CMS programs (i.e., Nurses Coding System). Must have knowledge of sterilization methods/practices used in the surgical setting before performing surgical procedures on patients/patients' bodies/organs.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
