Our Chef position would require that this person plan, purchase, and prepare lunch and dinner for the students Monday through Friday. The meals for Saturday and Sunday would also need to be planned for other staff to serve. This position would assist in planning and preparing for special events as necessary as well.
Students live in a family style residence where community and interpersonal relationships are encouraged. Our staff offer guidance and support to adolescents and their families that include multi-modal family system approaches to amplify and solidify change.
Pay Range: $57,000 - $72,000 a year "This is a Non-exempt position and is paid hourly."

Responsibilities
- Plan student menus for 2 houses. (12 students)
- Purchase sufficient food for all meals and snacks.
- Prepare properly cooked, well balanced meals in a timely manner for lunch and dinner Monday through Friday.
- Manage the food budget with care.
- Oversee the overall cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the kitchen.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of company policies and practices.
- Knowledge of proper cooking technique.
- Knowledge of health codes and proper sanitation.
- Knowledge of basic nutrition.
- Skill in preparation of a variety of foods.
- Skill in food presentation
- Ability to adapt to special dietary needs of the students.
- Ability to work within the designated budget.
- Ability to plan and prioritize work.
Education and Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2 - 10 years of cooking experience, a current Food Handler's Permit, and a valid Driver's License. Professional training in culinary arts is preferred.
