SUMMARY: Babysitting Camp at EmBe teaches kids ages 11 – 15 years old about how to keep children safe, which toys and foods are appropriate for the different age groups, diapering babies, understanding basic first aid and CPR skills and so much more!

We are looking for a passionate, motivated, and flexible educator to lead our Babysitting Camps throughout the summer.  Each camp is two days and consists of 13 kids, ages 11 to 15 years old. If you are our candidate, you will equip young people with the skills and knowledge to start their own babysitting business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure EmBe's brand, mission, vision, and values are reflected in all interactions.
  • Independently carry out camp curriculum with up to 13 students aged 11-15 years
  • Willing to become American Red Cross Certified in Babysitting Camp Curriculum and Water Safety
  • Work collaboratively with Program Manager to improve camp curriculum
  • Send out parent/guardian communication with participants and answer any questions regarding camp
  • Manage camp expectations and participant behaviors to ensure all campers have a good experience
  • Maintain a fun, clean, and safe camp environment for you and the students

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with experience leading youth in small or large group settings required
  • Passionate about child safety and development and motivated to teach youth about best babysitting practices  
  • Classroom management experience preferred
  • Experience teaching to various learning styles in educational setting preferred

SCHEDULE

  • Onboarding and training will be the week of May 27 with lead teaching June 10 through July 30. All camps are on Mondays and Tuesdays throughout the summer.
  • Red Cross Training will need to be completed prior to June 1st.
  • Excellent opportunity for teacher who wants a seasonal position.
