Job Summary

The Copywriter will be responsible for writing engaging and action-inspiring content as guided by strategic objectives. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple projects and working collaboratively across the organization to ensure all copy is on brand and optimized for results. The Copywriter will be accountable for meeting deadlines, delivering compelling content, and proofreading.

The ideal candidate is an interesting mix of animal lover, grammar aficionado, and passionate creator.

Responsibilities

• Write engaging copy and content that supports defined strategies.
• Collaborate with designers to develop strong concepts that meet advertising and marketing objectives.
• Leverage product and coverage knowledge to create an accurate, relevant, logical, and persuasive copy flow.
• Approach each project with fresh copy, continuously experimenting and innovating with the written word.
• Establish consistent tone to ensure copy accurately reflects Embrace’s sincere and genuine brand voice.
• Take an active interest in Embrace’s target audience; use research to fuel ideas.
• Consistently meet deadlines.
• Work cooperatively with a variety of team members and follow internal processes to develop creative work that reflects inspired thinking.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one to three years of experience as a copywriter, plus a solid portfolio.
• English Literature, Creative Writing, Journalism, or related field preferred.
• Excellent editing, proofreading, and project management experience with attention to detail.
• Flexible and solution-oriented with excellent time management, great organizational skills, and the ability to multitask.
• Demonstrated team/collaborative skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship skills.
• Self-motivated, nimble, and highly results driven in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
• Positive attitude, open mind, and strong work ethic.
• A passion for pets.
