Job Summary
Electrical design responsibilities for our Design/Build construction projects. Our primary niche is food process related projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Designs electrical systems with BIM and Revit, based on established standards for products, components, and applications.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Assists Electrical Engineers with electrical design and BIM modeling
- Assist with department representatives, architects, engineers, and consultants to establish project requirements, and specifications. Assist with the development and approval of architectural and engineering construction drawings
- Assist with preparation of project documentation
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Design, Engineering or equivalent education and experience
- Experience working for a contractor on electrical systems design or in the field is a plus.
- Ability to work both independently or in a team environment
- Small amount of travel is expected with this position, short duration determined as required for project design and execution
- Computer literate with MS Office product offerings including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks and/or Revit is a plus
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, in both written and oral work
