Warehouse Manager

Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse and the entire building by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
• Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, waste oil and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
• Acts as facilities manager for the entire building, not just the warehouse.
• Manages the following:
  • Freon Reclaiming
  • Removal of Scrap and trash materials
  • Maintain the extra’s uniforms
  • Maintain fleet of delivery vehicles and spares
  • Maintain Job Board and work schedules
  • Tracking and supporting labor hours
  • Support the entire facility’s maintenance and operations
  • Assist with returns/RMA’s

Job Specifications (incl. Education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.) 

• Minimum 5 years experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience overseeing 2 or more individuals
• Leadership Skills and ability to manage staff
• Possess basic skills in MSOffice Suite applications.
• Possess forklift certification or be able to quickly obtain certification.
• Background working with trades (i.e. Electrical, HVAC, etc.).
• Must have ability to have a flexible work schedule. There are intermittent demands for supporting after-hours and weekend work.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
