CONTRA COSTA ELECTRIC, INC. has an immediate fulltime position available as Material Handler & Shop Driver to support our Bakersfield, CA Office. The site location is located in Taft, CA.
This position is responsible for supporting the warehouse and delivery operations of Contra Costa Electric.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver material and tools to jobsites.
- Make will calls for jobsites.
- Pick up items at jobsites and return to the shop.
- Make sure the vehicle they are using is properly maintained.
- Perform additional assignments as directed.
Qualifications Required:
The requirements listed below are representative of characteristics and demonstrated capabilities sought to perform this job successfully.
- High school diploma or equivalent relevant experience.
- 1 to 3 years of experience as a driver.
- Valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Class A Drivers License
- Ability to operate power equipment including fork lift.
- Strong decision making skills and ability to multitask is critical.
- High level of contributions to the team, department, and company.
- High sense of urgency
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- English language reading and writing proficiency
- Sense of personal responsibility-self activation
- Positive, professional attitude with pleasant personality
- A can do attitude
- Neat in appearance
- Must demonstrate commitment to company values.
- The Tool and Material Handler will assume other responsibilities as assigned.
