JOB SUMMARY: MSI-QMS seeks a Service/Projects Manager to oversee and manage the service operation including service personnel in both the field and office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage safety polices and compliance
- Ensure Technicians are equipped with the appropriate PPE
- Responsible for scheduling and hosting safety training
- Responsible for ensuring safe work practices are being met in the field through job site & vehicle inspections
- Respond to all customer inquiries within 1 business day
- Handle customer complaints/relationship
- Write new PM contracts as needed
- Prepares and submits job schedule as needed.
- Assist or prepare job estimates.
- Exercises executive authority over the planning, direction, and control of a designated project(s).
- Allocates and supervises the utilization of material and personnel resources assigned to the project.
- Applies to the project intensified management techniques, procedures, and controls to endure compliance with contract and budget.
- Reports status of his project to company leadership on a recurring basis.
- Assist with the management of Technician tools
- Perform man-power planning as needed
- Review/Approve T&M Billing
- Review/Approve Payroll
- Assist in Ordering Uniforms
- Manage profitability of work orders and contracts
- Assist with scheduling of jobs
- Conduct New Hire Orientation as well as New Hire iPad and COINS Training
- Act as and HR and IT liaison
- Assist the Service Coordinator with monitoring of the EMCOR 369 Email Exchange
- Completes Technician Disciplinary Actions if required (coordinated with Field Supervisor and General Manager)
- Help drive sales through tech quoting and sales support as required
- Promote and participate in education and training opportunities that allow the company and its employees to meets stated goals, objectives, and business plans.
- Provides junior associates with a "role model" example of the company's business and work ethics as delineated in MSI's Mission Statement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- 6 or more years of experience in HVAC service/maintenance environment.
- In-depth understanding and appreciation of HVAC systems and related supporting utilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to direct, motivate and train employees
- Proficient knowledge of customer service, and standard office practices and procedures.
- Proficient knowledge or Microsoft Office
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities.
- High energy level.
- Ability to establish credibility and be decisive—but able to recognize and support the organizations preferences and priorities.
- Participative management style—advocate of team concept.
- Physical activities to include standing, balancing, climbing stairs & ladders, walking and lifting of weights of 25lbs. or more are required in daily performance of job. Use of upper extremities required for forward and overhead reaching, pushing, and pulling material handling.
