Data Electronic Devices, Inc., an Emerald Technologies company, has an exciting opportunity for a Component Buyer to join our Salem, NH team! The Buyer will analyze production plans in conjunction with raw materials inventories to ensure material requirements are met. Process purchase requisitions related to builds by creating purchase orders with vendors while effectively managing raw materials inventory levels. This position will manage and track purchase orders while answering vendor questions and providing them with the additional order documentation that is needed.

Responsibilities of the Electronic Component Buyer:
- Develop an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase orders.
- Assist the Program Management team with maintaining proper inventory levels of materials used on a regular basis.
- Review production schedule and Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) reports daily to ensure materials are available to support plant production schedule.
- Communicate any problems or issues with meeting materials requirements.
- Work with the Warehouse team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing products.
- Aggressively seek opportunities for overall cost savings by negotiating price reductions, vendor contracts, Just In Time (JIT) programs, volume rebates, terms and stocking programs.
- Purchase, budget and track MRO items for the office, production and warehouse.

Qualifications of the Electronic Component Buyer:
- Associate degree is desirable with college level courses in Business, Finance or related fields.
- 2-3 years minimum experience buying electronic components and/or PCBs.
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of materials management accounting processes, cost benefit analysis, inventory control systems, supply suppliers, product lines and source of products.
