POSITION OVERVIEW
ATTENTION Roadside Technicians, we are looking for employees that are highly skilled, courteous, and dependable; individuals who support a team environment. You will be performing service, repairs and maintenance on a variety of light to heavy duty semi-tractor, trucks, and trailers.
Duties would include but not limited to: routine grease and lubrication (Dry PM), general vehicle lighting and electrical repairs, air brake system repairs and component replacement, repairing and/or replacing tires, as well as visibly inspecting vehicles for potential safety issues (DOT). We are looking for technicians who are willing to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair vehicles on the road safely and also be creative thinkers who are quick on their feet and able to apply a temporary fix that will allow the vehicle to be taken to base for repair if full repairs cannot be done on site. If neither situation is able to be applied, also be able to determine when it is time to have vehicle towed
In addition, candidates must be able to work without direct supervision. Work vehicle is provided, but you must possess your own basic tools necessary to perform the functions of the job. Our scope of service with each client is different, and will require you to be an "out of the box" thinker who can "creatively" and "safely" resolve breakdown issues to allow customer to safely continue their transport/hauling, or inform them when vehicle is not safe for transport.
You will need to pass a drug test and background check.
