Analyst II, QC Analytical

This is a laboratory testing position with the major responsibilities being daily testing and laboratory maintenance tasks, including protocol-driven non-routine testing.
Essential Functions
Testing and Review
o Performs testing proficiency in at least two areas of laboratory testing such as:
 HPLC
 ELISA or cell-based assay
 cell culture
o Protocol-drive non-routine testing
o Peer review (calculations, logs, etc.)

Quality Control Systems:
o Basic understanding of compliance/guidance/regulations pertaining to assigned area
o Identifies and supports change and continuous improvement using LEAN practices such as 5S and Kaizen
o Author laboratory investigations and revise Standard Operating Procedures through independent thought and collaboration with minimal Supervisor support

Laboratory Support:
o Sample Log In and traceability
o Monitor controlled temperature units
o Receive, label, and restock reagents and supplies
o Laboratory upkeep/housekeeping activities

III: Education, Experience & Skills

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in a scientific discipline
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience
• Hands-on experience with one or more assays and instruments: ELISA, HPLC, and cell culture
• Strong technical and communication skills: oral/written and listening
• Personal Competencies: Self-awareness, Integrity, Team Player, Creative, and Flexible.
• Computer skills (MS Office, JMP statistical software, Visio, MS Project)
