Job Summary:
Facilitates the assessment, alignment and optimization of clinical/functional areas to meet OEHRM deployment requirements. work directly with local VAMC leads (Service Lines, VHA, VISN, BioMed, and others) to ensure clinical/functional capabilities are in place for the deployment of EHRM. Partners/liaise with both VA staff and the Cerner team to support project success by aligning clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders across the organization in support of the project.
Basic qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience is required. An additional 10 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
- Can work independently designing and developing new software products or major enhancements to existing software for a healthcare/clinical environment
- Can act as highest-level technical expert, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, healthcare semantics, informatics, and multiple platforms
- Responsible for project completion
- Can perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare IT, computer science, electronics engineering, engineering or technical related field
Additional qualifications:
- Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs
- Experience with management of IT development and implementation projects
- EMR deployment experience
