What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master Scheduler position at Emerson Electric Co?
The master scheduler is responsible for the management of incoming orders through the development and alignment of schedules, work flows, and order priorities to ensure customer on-time delivery and quality is achieved. We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who knows how to manage overlapping projects, keep track of deadlines, and efficiently use their time. The ideal candidate is a strong analytical thinker with problem-solving skills and mathematical abilities, and most importantly is an effective communicator who is persuasive and adept at presenting information in a clear and concise manner. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Work with sales and project management and other internal groups as required to validate delivery quotations and insure alignment of schedules - Manage on-time to schedule metrics and provide regular status reports - Build, manage, and maintain the master schedule for tasks handled by design drafting, application engineering and product engineering - Maintain and implement process improvements for work flow - Work with manufacturing, sales, and project management and other internal groups as needed to resolve lead time issues on quotations and expedite resolutions to issues on active orders - Provide management with an understanding of the current schedule, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions to ensure future performance - Responsible for all planning and scheduling functions and activities to support the product line from scheduling to shipment including shop floor movement.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS: - An associate’s or bachelor's degree is preferred or 3 years related work experience ideally with engineered products. - Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a master scheduling or planner role - Project and order management knowledge - Skilled in teamwork, planning and organization - Demonstrated track record of effective problem resolution along with the ability to effectively communicate clearly and concisely to a broad audience - US Citizenship required due to contracts with the US Navy - Proficiency with MS Office and ERP Systems (preferably Oracle) - Background in Continuous Improvement and Root Cause Analysis preferred Work Authorization No calls or agencies please.
