Emerson, manufacturer of large custom-designed control valves, is currently seeking a CNC Programmer in Marshalltown, IA. The individual selected for this role will work in a dynamic and high-tech production facility. This role is an outstanding opportunity to join our skilled team dedicated to delivering first-class service to our customers!

In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Work close with tool design engineers, supervisors, schedulers to develop efficient and safe machine processes for new and existing products.
  • Use CAM software to create CNC programs for machine tools - lathes/mills/wire EDM machines.
  • Create controlled documentation for machine setups.
  • Improve and revise tooling/fixturing/programs on all CNC machines with minimal direction.
  • Innovate and implement processes for cost reductions and safety improvements.
  • Develop fair and equitable time estimates for machining process routings.
  • Assist operators with day-to-day machining and tooling problems.

For This Role You Will Need:
  • Must have a basic knowledge of geometry and trigonometry.
  • Must be able to fully understand and interpret Engineering part prints.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this position

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • 5 years CNC machining/programming experience and a 2-year degree in a manufacturing machining related field, or Engineering/Industrial Technology Degree
  • Proficient with CAD and CAM software (Edgecam, MasterCAM and Solidworks)
  • Experience with CNC programming multi axis mill and lathe CNC machines
  • Familiar with Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak machine tool controllers.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
