If you are an experienced Human Resources Generalist looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Manufacturer of large custom-designed control valves, you will work in a dynamic and high-tech production facility based in our Marshalltown, Iowa location.
AS A HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST YOU WILL:
- Maintain business system for all new salaried and bargaining unit employees: hires, retirements, terminations, transfers, etc., with pay and job changes including personal information.
- Work closely with Benefit Administration and HRIS teams regarding payroll, benefit, and business system needs.
- Administer LOA programs such as FMLA and Short and Long Term Disability programs.
- Partner with Managers to understand business and recruitment needs and seek opportunities to offer innovative solutions. Participate in and support the interview process.
- Generate and maintain HR metric reports.
- Lead compliance and talent development trainings.
- Coordinate and develop plant communications.
WHO YOU ARE:

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- BA/BS degree or 4 – 5 years of human resource experience
- Basic knowledge of HRIS system
- Knowledge of core HR processes
- Ability to properly balance employee advocacy and business requirements
- Ability to drive projects while managing day-to-day activities
- Legal authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this position
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of FMLA and Short and Long Term Disability programs
- Experience in recruiting, sourcing, and staffing Training experience preferred
