Overview of Job Function:

eMetric is seeking a talented Business Analyst (BA) to provide analytical and strategic support of client onboarding and proposal solution design. Working closely with business/client team members, product owners, and technical teams, this person will be responsible for gaining and communicating a clear understanding of the business needs of our customers and for defining business requirements that deliver an exceptional user experience while meeting those business needs. The BA is responsible for managing tasks and deliverables across multiple projects simultaneously. The expertise and work effort primarily focus on identifying, understanding, and documenting key customer requirements.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Consult with appropriate stakeholders to determine and document business, functional, and technical requirements for our customer implementations
• Translate high level business requirements into functional specifications and manage changes to such specifications
• Maintain a broad view of each project to ensure that requirements in any given area continue to align with the project’s success criteria
• Continually measure the performance of existing platform implementations with a focus on identifying enhancements to improve the user experience and business value
• Serve as a valued liaison between project, product, and quality assurance teams
• Contribute feedback to the development and improvement of our platforms and solutions
• Assist with business proposal activities by reviewing RFPs in detail and identifying mandatory technical requirements; specific activities may include conducting gap analysis, creating process and technical diagrams, and writing and reviewing technical responses
• Serve as a primary contact with the technical team, on behalf of the business team, for development of technical responses and cost estimations

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree in job-related field
• Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to write reports, business specifications, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria
• Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel) proficiency
• Ability to handle frequent deadlines and unplanned requests for quick action or response
• Excellent problem-solving skills with strong communication, presentation, and writing skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong workflow analysis skills and the ability to identify customer needs, analyze them against available solutions, and identify gaps
• Ability to engage with cross-functional teams, internally and externally, to effectively gather project requirements
• Ability to support QA and UAT efforts
• Must work equally well independently and in a team environment
• Experience in the K-12 assessment and education industry is preferred
• Experience working with agile methodologies is preferred
