What are the responsibilities and job description for the DESKTOP ADMINISTRATOR position at EMH&T?
The Desktop Administrator has oversight responsibilities for the delivery of daily helpdesk support and handling of the desktop computers within the company of approximately 330 users located in the Columbus headquarters. The Desktop Administrator will work closely with staff, technicians, programmers and other I.T. staff members to provide remote and desk side support of desktops, laptops, cell phones and printers; document solutions, software installations, processes and standards; maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems; prepare, implement, and automate all software applications; and support, create and maintain user accounts and securities.
The successful candidate will have experience with system installation and support; proficiency with MS Office Suite; knowledge of computer hardware and software, including application and scripting, required. Experience with software deployment applications such as Altiris, SCCM or Ivanti; proficiency in AutoCAD Civl 3D, or Bently civil engineering software, preferred.
Physical Requirements: Minor bending and twisting and manual dexterity with computers; and occasional lifting of standard desktop office equipment from cart to desk or vice versa for installations and repairs.
