What are the responsibilities and job description for the TECHNICIAN position at EMH & T?
Our Development I Division is currently seeking a Technician who will be under the direct supervision of a seasoned Designer, Engineer or Project Manager. This person will draft basic engineering design components (plans, profiles, easements, plats, etc.). Assigned work is typically minor base map changes, e.g. making "redlined" corrections, mark-ups or setup drawings at the Designer/Engineer's direction. Corrections to work products are reviewed. Finishes and duplicate drawings, according to required mediums and specifications for reproduction. This person will also learn and prescribe EMH&T drafting standards or other required standards as directed by the manager, e.g. ODOT standards. This person may also prepare exhibits.
Desire: Some specialized training or experience with one or more CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, Microstation, Integraph, or ARC/INFO; knowledge of basic math (geometry) involved in the production and use of drawings or models; and little work experience or under four (4) years of drafting activities.
