Position: Shipping Clerk
Reports to: Plant Operations Manager
Classification: Non-Exempt
- This is a full-time position with a typical work shift of 8 hours.
- May include overtime as needed.
- Responsible for providing miscellaneous general office and clerical support within the shipping department.

Job Summary:
The Shipping Clerk is responsible Responsible for providing miscellaneous general office and clerical support within the Shipping Department. This position will be responsible for the following:
- Review online system and allocate orders as required.
- Scan all local trucks; ensure accuracy of all order documents.
- Scan completed loading manifest into imaging system.
- Ensure timely completion of all local trucks.
- Review and resolve order discrepancies to ensure timely completion and routing.
- Review shipping manifest documents to ensure customer delivery requirements are met.
- Monitor computer system for truck driver activity.
- Process early morning freight receipts.
- Will learn DOT requirements and paperwork to assist as needed with this process.
- Assist individuals at service window during assigned shift.
- Miscellaneous filing.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in shipping is preferred but not required.
- Keyboard and keypad proficiency.
- Working knowledge of and ability to operate basic office equipment and software, including PC and Windows, copier fax, phone, voicemail.
- Job specific certification, including quality process training - on the job training will be provided.
