DescriptionRestaurant Concept:Emmitt's Restaurant is a modern American eatery specializing in delectable steak and fish dishes located in Las Vegas. Inspired by a clear vision and a commitment to excellence, Emmitt's will bring the spirit of classic American cuisine to Las Vegas at the iconic Fashion Show Las Vegas Mall.Proprietors Football Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith and Chef Rainer Schwarz and share a commitment to providing a comfortable and appealing eatery for friends and families to enjoy great food and libations. The menu featured succulent steaks and chops, such as 60 day dry-aged prime chops and Colorado Bison and A5 wagyu. Seafood items include Glacier 51 Seabass, Vietnamese Black tiger shrimp and the highest quality sashimi you can find on the Vegas strip. Emmitt's will take the concept of a classic modern bar to new heights featuring artisan and delicious handcrafted cocktails. With a wine list that focuses on California cult wines and other highly-rated, world class wines, the dining experience consists of a vibrant mix of stylish dining and lounge style settings with exceptional service.Job Summary: The Wine Server will be responsible for the bar set up, maintaining and restocking of the wine coolers for the Bar area at Emmitt's Las Vegas. He/she will maintain an ongoing inventory.He/she will be responsible for pouring the wines at Emmitt's Restaurant, once the order is rung into the POS system. The Wine Server will be available to answer any in-depth questions on wine for the guests in the Bar Area as well as in the Dinning Room.He/she will also be responsible for training the staff on new wines and vintages with guidance from the Sommelier and the restaurant management staff.The Wine Server will also communicate any guest concerns and operational problems to management to ensure a timely and efficient solution to those problem.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Guest Communication (20%)Greet the guest in a courteous, friendly and outgoing manner and according to our service standards.Being able to answer any questions relating to the menu, wine, Emmitt's restaurant and The Deck.Attending to and being helpful with guest's needs and preferences.Thank the guest and bid farewell.Wine Service and Inventory (60%)Complete opening and closing duties. See list from restaurant manager.Maintain par-levels in coolers in Emmitt's.Ensure that vintages are correct, as listed on the menu.Serve wine and food in a professional and elegant manner according to the training manual.Set up and breakdown of tables, linen, chairs, china, silver and glassware and ensuring that all items are in perfect and clean condition.Wine Training (10%)Present and discuss wines with staff at daily line up when necessary.Taste staff on new products and new vintagesInternal Communication (10%)Communicates operational problems to management.Communicates guest concerns to management.Supervisory Responsibilities: NoneJob Requirements: Education/Experience: Minimum of three years experience in a high-end restaurant or related operational experience. Some experience mass marketed hospitality/special events environment preferred.Skills: Exceptional customer service skills. Ability to deal with guests and fellow employees in a calm and professional manner in a busy environment. Strong verbal and written English communication skills.Knowledge: Experience in high-end restaurant required. Physical: Must be able to stand and walk for a full eight-hour shift. Able to lift and carry 40 pounds.Other: (Includes licenses, certificates, age, etc.)Other Preferred Job Qualifications:Foreign language skills (Spanish, French or Italian).The above information is representative of the work performed in this position, however it is not all-inclusive.
