NPD (new product development)
Design calculation or hand calculation or stability calculation (must)
Design (3D CAD modelling) in CREO
HyperMesh
OptiStruct (must)
FEA/CAE
Job Description & Skill Requirement:
Minimum 3-5 years relevant mechanical engineering experience.
Most work consists of analyzing machine stability due to changes in center of gravity, height, weight, additional components, or environmental conditions.
Hands on knowledge of CAE/FEA validation
Examples of projects are:
machine stability calculation changes/confirmation due to thicker material on the platform of a scissor.
hydraulic cylinder weight changes and possible effect on boom stability margins of existing machines
Cast steel counterweight changes and effect on machine performance
Some work can be done with excel calculations and hand calculations, but CREO modeling might be required.
Boom Lift/ Scissor Lift / platform machine familiarity a plus, in order to understand the changes proposed on each project.
