Description
The Laundry Worker performs duties related to preparing linen for use in the hospital, including inventory maintenance, folding, exchange cart preparation, and delivery.
Shift Time: 6a-2:30p
- May assist in separating soiled linens and inspecting them for defects and removing debris.
- Follows infection control and universal precaution procedures.
- Loads linens into machines and distributes when clean.
- Maintains assigned work areas and supplies.
- Follows established procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other applicable federal and state regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions.
- The ability to lift up to 25 pounds and to stoop, bend, and twist.
