Emory University is a leading research university that fosters excellence and attracts world-class talent to innovate today and prepare leaders for the future. We welcome candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic community. Dedicated to discovering causes, prevention, treatments, and cures, Emory National Primate Research Center (ENPRC) is fighting diseases and improving human health and lives worldwide. One of seven NPRCs funded by the NIH, ENPRC conducts studies that make breakthrough discoveries possible. Learn more at http://www.yerkes.emory.edu.
Collaborate. Innovate. Serve. These three simple words capture what we do at the ENPRC to help advance science and improve the health and well-being of humans and nonhuman primates. For over 40 years, the ENPRC Biomarkers Core has provided essential endocrine assay services and specialized expertise to the local and national scientific community in support of basic, translational, and clinical research. The Biomarkers Core processes an array of biological samples from multiple species, with a special focus on nonhuman primate and human samples. Primary Core assay services include liquid chromatography-tandem triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) assays for the quantification of stress and reproductive steroids, neuropeptides, and other small biomolecules. The Biomarkers Core also develops, optimizes, and validates new LC-MS/MS assays upon investigator request. If you are someone with at least 10 years of experience conducting targeted LC-MS/MS analysis of small biomolecules and an interest in research core facility management, this is an amazing opportunity for you to serve science and advance your career.
