Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- The primary point person for selected Spirit suppliers, for all channels, within EDI, Nashville.
- Manages inventory levels for all Spirit through communicating to purchasing for programming and trends.
- Meet with all suppliers to plan out yearly, quarterly and monthly goals, etc. Review A.R, goals, pricing, support, incentives, supplier plan and reporting for timely and accurate record keeping.
- Manages assigned supplier portfolios in regard to pricing, programming and all other needs.
- Negotiates sales incentives and retailer incentives on all brands within the assigned portfolios.
- Negotiates price support for brands based on market demands.
- Works with supplier representatives to ensure a cohesive partnership exists between the Company and supplier.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships with supplier representatives to ensure best practices are being followed to benefit both parties.
- Reviews profit reports and addresses concerns accordingly.
- Assists sales force with questions regarding programming, product availability and any other issues that may arise.
- Submits the required information for new suppliers and new item set up to purchasing.
- Participates largely in month-end processes, including sample, price and deal bill backs.
- Works with suppliers to arrange visits for customers and consumers.
- Assists in organizing trade events by seeking out supplier support in the form of donations and participation.
- Works trade events to assist with any needs to ensure a successful event.
- Manages the tasting panel with the Sales Manager, Retail Spirit, to review new products.
- Assists Sales Manager, Retail Spirit, with any additional tasks to ensure all business needs are met.
- Occasionally schedules time to ride with Sales Representatives to gain market knowledge and get feedback on pricing and programming.
- Through Sales Management teams, implement corrective programs/support to change trend in the channel(s) not producing to agree upon goals.
- Proactive calls to suppliers to address issues, goals, support changes, program updates/results
- Be responsive to supplier needs and internal representation of reporting and meeting preparation
- Manage meeting prep and meeting reports and recap notes. Review with all Nashville personnel.
- Structure everyday pricing and deal levels for On Premise and Retail for all brands
- Create/assess the monthly chargebacks for all suppliers in On and Off Premise Channels.
- Work with suppliers to create deals for sales promotions or from brands changing price/support.
- Collaborate with Sales Management to create improved programing and accuracy of programming and chargebacks.
Education and/or Experience
- Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge Internet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems and Spreadsheet software, SAP, Diver reporting software, Program Advisor and Social Media programs.
