PR Coordinator

Customer service is a must! PR and affiliate program experience is a plus! We are looking for a quick learner who thrives in a team environment and supports others while working towards a common goal. This position will primarily communicate with our internal clients via email, text, social media platforms and phone call as well as work to build relationships with external clients for future partnerships. Some weekends and evenings may be required during events, but there is compensation of time off and flexible schedules are available.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees and produces, from concept to completion, a broad array of digital and/or print promotional and communication materials for the organization.
• Ensures that all materials present a clear, unified, and positive image for the organization and/or brand.
• Plans, prepares, and distributes original promotional content such as articles, news and press releases, email, blog and social media posts, and other updates on behalf of the organization.
• Promotes and attends special events and functions
• Arranges for photography and/or press coverage for special events.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Arrange public appearances
• Create relationships with key influencers and other businesses
• Launch brand ambassador program, adding 100 active ambassadors to promote conversion and brand awareness events

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Canva and desktop publishing software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Takes initiative
• Strong work ethic and motivation to succeed
• Ability to prioritize and plan effectively
• Excellent customer service when working with clients or other businesses
• Demonstrate ability to think creatively and independently
• Ability to create and assemble attractive marketing materials
• Ability to lead team initiatives through to completion

Experience

• 1-2 years in Public Relations
• 1-2 years in social media content
• College Degree Preferred
• Writing & Publishing press releases
• Communicating with multiple companies and vendors
• Managing an affiliate program for external businesses
• Possess strong organizational skills, follow up and attention to detail necessary to prioritize multiple projects
• Demonstrated professional level of verbal, written and listening skills
• Creation of attractive and brand aligned marketing materials
• Working knowledge of design and implementation software necessary for the job function (Google Suites, Prezi, Analytics, LinkedIn, Facebook, Adobe Suite)
• Works well with a team
