JOB SUMMARY: Assist as a helper on facility maintenance repairs.    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Cleans grease filters and traps as needed.  Performs grounds keeping tasks and maintain yard cleanliness. Performs custodial service for all common use areas.  Performs cleaning responsibilities. Observes, repairs and/or reports necessary repairs, safety hazards and other problems. Performs other tasks assigned by supervisor.   ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  Works safely at all times.  Adheres to all applicable safety policies.  Complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards. Work within and promote corporate values.   KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  Eyesight correctable to safely operate maintenance equipment. Must be willing to care and be accountable for assigned tools and equipment. Must be willing to comply with all company procedures and policies including safety and grooming standards. Must have interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with people in a professional manner. Must be able to function with a minimum of direct supervision. Must be able to use hand and mechanical tools and equipment effectively to accomplish desired results. Must be able to climb ladders. Mechanical skills sufficient for routine equipment maintenance. Must have a valid driver license. Consistent attendance.   EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  Manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools such as shovel, rake, pipe wrench and drill motor. Experience in general trade skills such as carpentry, masonry, fence repair, plumbing, painting, and miscellaneous repair. Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is designated as a "Safety-Sensitive Position".   A Safety-Sensitive Position includes tasks or duties that the employer in good faith believes could affect the safety or health of the employee performing the task or others, which includes any of the following:  operating a motor vehicle, other vehicle, equipment, machinery or manufacturing process, the malfunction or disruption of which could result in injury or property damage; performing duties in the residential or commercial premises of a customer, supplier or vendor; working in any occupation subject to federal safety regulations.   WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually office moderate.
