My client is looking for an experienced Site Quality Manager for their manufacturing facility who will provide leadership and daily direction to the quality department and supports manufacturing operations. The Quality Manager interfaces with all appropriate internal functions to maintain the site's quality management system, exceed quality metrics and performance, and support delivering high-quality products that meet or exceed customer service expectations.
The Site Quality Manager will be expected to operate in line with company workplace core values. The job is 9a-5p Monday through Friday and some weekends if needed. The candidate for this job must be able to drive change despite resistance or skepticism, resulting in positive, sustainable results and a cohesive team environment.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Oversee the ISO Quality System. Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout all aspects of operations. Perform activities and take action as deemed necessary to ensure standards are maintained.
- Manage all Internal and External Non-Conformance Reports, facilitating timely response and thorough root cause analysis, using appropriate test methods and communication to appropriate leadership for completion of NCR.
- Use database tools to identify and address quality issues and customer complaints. Use 'lean' tools to work with management eliminate these issues.
- Oversee the Preventive and Corrective Action activities.
- Participate in necessary activities to ensure client requirements of quality, quantity and scheduling are satisfied.
- Design and revise procedures for quality process review during the various stages of production. Verify adherence to such procedures.
- Actively promote an effective Safety Culture through continued focus on safety near misses and unsafe condition reports, and ensure adherence to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Prepare and manage both internal and external audits and ensure site is audit-ready for ISO Certification as well as any other pertinent certifications. Train and supervise auditing activities of internal auditors.
- Compile and review data on production quality and direct costs. Evaluate findings and participate as appropriate in activities to promote quality and reduce costs.

- Organize effective training programs to upgrade and advance all employees in the effective execution of their Job. Document process, and audit training logs and effectiveness of training.
- Develop and utilize methods for effective communication of quality and processing issues such that appropriate priorities are set for use of company resources.
- Communicate all suggested process changes with management for approval.
- Supervise all aspects and activities of the Quality Control personnel including hiring and terminating, training, performance reviews, and work assignments. Develop and implement procedures and policies for the Quality Control Department.
- Analyze and prepare departmental budgets for the Quality Department. Project manpower requirements based on estimated volume of work and operating costs for material and equipment.
- Ensure all critical approval points in production process are monitored, documented and audited regularly for success.
- Formulate and participate in special projects directed toward improving the Quality Control Department.
REOUIRED OUALIFICATIONS
- Quality management background, ideally in a like industry, who has experience in ISO management and certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field is preferred
- Experience in manufacturing.
