About the Role

The API Business Analyst role is a unique opportunity to join a leading software company and be a key part of the team responsible for implementing the API integrations between Employee Navigator and the nation's leading insurance carriers. These integrations allow us to deliver comprehensive, fully integrated benefits and HR solution at scale for our partners. This role will help partners' operational and technical teams understand how their data maps into EN data as they build out their API integrations. You will gain an understanding of how they configure company group structure, build plans, and the codes necessary to process member enrollments. You will become well versed in Employee Navigator company, plan configuration, and enrollment data enabling you to translate, advise, and test how these data are exchanged through an API. You will play a critical role in expanding our network of integrated partners onto what will become a de facto industry standard.

Here's what you'll do Day-to-Day:

• Advise on the API data mapping specifications for specific API integration efforts
• Lead integration testing planning and execution activities with partners
• Maintain meeting logs and ensure all action items are addressed timely
• Become familiar with the internal working of Employee Navigator with a specific focus on our core security and authorization APIs and core benefits business data in our external APIs
• Participate in and/or facilitate regular implementation meetings with partners
• Assist in the creation of documentation and recommended workflow changes and technical/functional requirements needed to support our API integrations
• Assist in planning activities and development of business case documents that contribute upon existing data models and designing new models to create a leading industry standard

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 1-3 years experience in benefits administration or HRIS systems is required
• Additional experience in health/life/disability insurance is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A self-starter who is curious, is not afraid to ask questions, and willing to roll up their sleeves to solve complex problems
• Base knowledge of OAuth 2.0 client credentials and authorization flow is preferred
• Background in data and data design is a plus but knowledge of JSON and XML is preferred
